Wrong for Minnesota

Jeff Johnson Cut Public School Funding: Doug Werner’s Story

Jeff Johnson will make it harder for kids in Minnesota to receive a high-quality education.

As a representative in the Minnesota State Legislature, Jeff Johnson voted to cut $500 million from K-12 schools. For teachers like Doug, that meant that class sizes increased – sometimes above 40 students per classroom – and it was harder for teachers to build relationships and for students to learn.

And he even voted against early childhood and special education, and college and vocational training, while working to protect loopholes for big corporations and tax breaks for the wealthy few.

We need a governor who will ensure that all students receive a high-quality public education, regardless of where they’re from or where they live.
