Wrong for Minnesota

Jeff Johnson Would Take Away Healthcare from Hardworking Minnesotans

We can’t trust Jeff Johnson to do what’s best for our health.

When Louise was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2015, her world stopped. Without health insurance, she doesn’t know what she would have done.

Louise is one of thousands of Minnesotans who have a pre-existing condition. Under Jeff Johnson’s healthcare plan, insurance companies could deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, like Louise – cancer survivors, people with diabetes, people with asthma, and much more.

Louise has worked hard her whole life. She’s been a certified nursing assistant for 28 years, even taking on a second job at one point to afford her mortgage and medications. She shouldn’t have to worry about being denied life-saving health insurance because she got sick.

Not only could insurance companies deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions under Johnson’s healthcare plan, but he would also force people to pay skyrocketing healthcare costs and take away insurance from hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans, all while lining the pockets of big insurance companies and the wealthy few.

We need a governor who will make sure that all Minnesotans, regardless of where they live, where they’re from, or what pre-existing condition they might have, are able to access quality, affordable care.
