Minnesota Democrats will protect the right to safe, legal abortion

Minnesota Democrats are fighting to protect the right to safe, legal abortion in Minnesota. Minnesota Republicans, on the other hand, want to ban all abortions in Minnesota without any exceptions for rape or incest.

The Republican-endorsed candidate for governor, Scott Jensen, intends to ban abortions in Minnesota without any exceptions for rape or incest. He even supports a Texas-style law that bans abortion as early as six weeks, criminalizes abortion, allows strangers to collect $10,000 for reporting women who have abortions, and fines or arrests doctors who perform abortions.

And now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, Scott Jensen and Minnesota Republicans are ready to ban abortion in Minnesota.

Minnesota Democrats are fighting to protect the right to choose. And Governor Tim Walz has promised to protect access to safe, legal abortion in Minnesota.

Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, it is more important than ever to guarantee abortion rights in Minnesota by electing pro-choice Democrats into office.

Minnesota Democrats invest in our public schools

Public schools are the backbone of Minnesota’s communities. But time and time again, Republicans in Minnesota have voted against fully funding our schools, including the Republican-endorsed candidate for governor Scott Jensen.

Republicans in Minnesota also want to give tax breaks to large corporations and the wealthiest Minnesotans at the expense of our schools. As a result, schools might have to cut classroom programs, lay off teachers, and increase class sizes.

Governor Tim Walz and Democrats in the legislature are fighting to keep Minnesota schools strong. Walz signed the biggest education funding increase in two decades, raised teacher pay, expanded access to pre-K, and worked to get kids safely back into their physical classrooms and keep them there during the pandemic.

We need leaders who put our students, educators, and families first, not large corporations and the wealthiest Minnesotans.
